How Long Can The Thermal Cash Register Be Kept

Thermal cash register paper cannot be kept all the time, and the handwriting on it will fade over time. Due to the material structure and storage environment temperature, the general thermal cash register paper will determine the corresponding storage time. If it is exposed to the sun and the temperature exceeds 30 ℃, it can only be stored for about 10 days. If the commonly used thermal cash register paper is stored in a cool place, it will be OK for about one year.

The long-term preservation of thermal cash register paper has a great relationship with its own quality. The quality determines the quality of printed data and the long-term preservation of data, and even has an impact on the service life of the printer over time. Generally, the shelf life we see on the package of thermal printer is more than three years, which can only be achieved with very good thermal cashier paper. The shelf life of thermal cash register paper with poor quality is only about half a year, and the shelf life of thermal cash register paper with better quality is four or five years.

The protective coating on the thermal cash register paper plays a key role in the storage time of the thermal cash register paper. If a good thermal cash register paper is stored for about 3-5 years, However, if the coating formula on the thermal cash register paper is unreasonable (i.e. low-quality thermal cash register paper) or the storage method is wrong (the storage temperature of thermal cash register paper is generally between 20-50 ℃), it can only be stored for a few months!

As we all know, the storage time of thermal cash register paper is limited. If the storage time is too long, the adhesive will be invalid, dry and hard will lose its viscosity, and the irrational storage method will accelerate this process. Therefore, the storage of thermal cash register paper should pay special attention to the following aspects:

1. Thermal cash register paper should avoid direct sunlight. It should be waterproof, moisture-proof, high-temperature weather and low-temperature environment.

2. The printed thermal cash register paper shall be stacked in layers after packaging, and shall not be too heavy to avoid glue infiltration and adhesion.

3. It can be stored for one year at 23 ± 2 ℃ and rh65 ± 5% air relative humidity, and some glue can reach two years.

4. The thermal cash register paper shall be packaged and sealed with moisture-proof paper or film. The roll should be stacked vertically and stored flat. Moreover, the relative height of each plate should not exceed 1m, and the goods should be 10cm above the ground (wood plate).

5. Thermal cash register paper should have outer packaging. Personally, I suggest that it should be sealed and packaged with plastic film again after each application, which can also ensure better storage conditions for thermal cash register paper.

Any thermal cash register paper is also very sensitive to light. Whether it darkens or fades, it can greatly accelerate its deterioration. In addition, any further heat exposure will darken the surrounding coating and blur the printed image. Using friction, if it is driven or rubbed, the coating will also blacken. Thermal conductive coatings can also be used with solvents, such as in the vapor from fluorescent pens and polyethylene folding clips, which can cause damage to the image. Chemical changes in the chemical coating of thermal cash register paper will also affect adjacent stored documents.
