Working principle of thermal label paper printing
The working principle of thermal label paper printing is that a semiconductor heating element is installed on the print head. After the print head heats and contacts the thermal printing paper, the required pattern can be printed. Its principle is similar to that of thermal fax machine. The image is generated by heating and chemical reaction in the film. This chemical reaction is carried out at a certain temperature. High temperature will accelerate this chemical reaction. When the temperature is lower than 60 ℃, it takes a long time, even several years, for the paper to turn dark; When the temperature is 200 ℃, this reaction will be completed in a few microseconds.
The thermal printer selectively heats the determined position of the thermal paper, resulting in the corresponding graphics. Heating is provided by a small electronic heater on the print head in contact with the thermal material. The heaters are arranged in the form of square points or strips, which are logically controlled by the printer. When driven, a graph corresponding to the heating elements is generated on the thermal paper. The same logic circuit that controls the heating element also controls the paper feed, so that graphics can be printed on the whole label or paper.
Causes and solutions of text patterns not printed on thermal label paper
1. Determine whether the purchased thermal paper is a special thermal machine printing paper. Judgment method: draw a nail or sharp object on the paper, and there will be black marks, as if written on the white paper with a pencil. If there are marks, it means that the thermal paper can be purchased. Otherwise, try to change the thermal paper.
2. If the thermal paper goes in and out normally, the pressure of the printer drum may not be normal. Disassemble and check whether the drum is pressed on the thermal paper when the printer works, otherwise the print head can't contact the thermal paper, and no matter how hot it is, it won't help.
3. If the thermal printer is in the form of ribbon, it is necessary to check whether the ribbon can be transferred normally when the printer is working. If not, try another method.
4. If the above three reasons are excluded, it is likely that the print head of the thermal printer is broken and can not work. It is recommended to replace it with a new one.
Cleaning and maintenance of thermal label paper printer is the key
When the thermal printer is used for a period of time, the printer has one of the following conditions: unclear printing, unclear vertical column of printed page, and loud paper feeding noise, the print head should be cleaned:
1. Turn off the power supply of the printer, open the upper cover, and remove the paper if there is any;
2. If printing is just finished, wait for the print head to cool completely;
3. Wipe the dust and stains on the surface of the print head with a soft cotton cloth dipped in absolute ethanol (which should be dried);
4. After the absolute ethanol volatilizes completely, close the cover and try printing again.
